AIR Consulting Services is owned and managed by David M. Kichula, CIH, who has more than 30 years experience in the evaluation and mitigation of environmental exposure problems. His expertise is in the areas of indoor air quality, mold assessment and remediation, and the control of moisture and water issues. His experience in the air quality field is unparalleled, including studies in residential, commercial and institutional settings. He has monitored construction hazards that include exposures to respirable particulates, silica dust, heavy metal oxides and noise. His work in the recognition of microbiological contaminants in buildings is well known. He is a recognized expert in chemical and biological assessment and remediation.
Patricia D’Apolito, CIH, manages the health and safety services in the hazardous materials arena. She has a master’s degree in environmental health and more than 20 years experience in the hazardous waste remediation field. She has developed and implemented Health and Safety Plans (HASP’s) for major remediation efforts, including those involving petrochemical, mercury, radioactive and pesticide contaminants. Her expertise in construction safety is well developed, including issues such as confined space programs, fall protection, excavation and heavy equipment and crane safety. She has provided training in the health and safety components of the OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations Standard, 29 CFR 1910.120.
Matthew Hines has more than 8 years experience in industrial hygiene problem solving. Working under the CIH, his expertise is focused on the areas of indoor air quality assessment, water management, and hazard communication. He has experience in finding solutions to seemingly difficult health and safety issues in commercial, healthcare, and residential workplaces. His experience includes both indoor and outdoor air contaminants.
